MTB Mediterranean Epic 2026 🇪🇸 (XCM) – Stage 4 – Oropesa del Mar CRONO : 56,35km ; 1300m D+
The SCOTT Mediterranean Epic MTB is one of the most prestigious multi-stage mountain bike races on the international scene. With a route that seamlessly blends the Mediterranean coast of Oropesa del Mar with the mountains of the Castellón province, this UCI Hors Catégorie event is not only a must-do for elite cyclists from around the world, but also for all those passionate mountain bike enthusiasts looking to push their limits in a top-level competition.
The final stage of the race is divided into three segments: the first segment starts with the climb to the Oropesa radar, leading us to two brand-new downhill trails, before continuing the ascent to Juvellús, heading toward the first long descent, called “Machacamazos.” Passing through “Mandarinas” on the way up brings usto the first feed station. The second segment features a steady climb to the second peak of the day in the municipality of Cabanes, connecting to the “Cuarteró” and “Treballaors” trails — long, technical downhill trails that will truly test your bike-handling skills. Finally, a track leadsto thelastclimb to the Oropesa radar, followed bythe final kilometers along the coast of Playa de la Concha. Here, the name of the race comes to life as riders enjoy the Mediterranean Sea at its finest, all the wayto the finish line, bringing a spectacular conclusion to four days of pure mountain biking.
