Giro di Campania 2026 🇮🇹 (1.1) ME – Caserta – Naples : 192,7 km
Giro di Campania is a UCI 1.1 one-day road race through the varied terrain of Campania, combining rolling countryside, mountain roads, coastal sections and fast descents. The course typically features substantial elevation gain, with several climbs ranging from short, steep ramps to longer ascents of 5–8%, creating repeated changes of pace rather than a single uninterrupted mountain test. Narrow roads, tight bends and technical descents demand precise positioning and controlled bike handling, while changing gradients make energy management important throughout the race. Climbs around the Apennine foothills and coastal mountains can stretch the peloton, while flatter sections provide opportunities for groups to regroup or organize a chase. Breakaways and counterattacks can develop as riders approach the more selective terrain, with the field gradually reduced through repeated ascents. The final phase can feature another climb followed by a fast descent and flatter roads toward the finish. The race can therefore conclude with a solo move, a small reduced group or a sprint among riders who have survived the hilly course.
