63rd Vuelta Ciclista a Venezuela 2026 🇻🇪 (2.2) ME – Stage 2 – Isnotú – Pampán : 162,2 km
Vuelta Ciclista a Venezuela is a UCI 2.2 multi-stage road race across the varied landscapes of Venezuela, combining flat plains, rolling countryside, foothills and mountainous terrain. The route typically features numerous stages ranging from around 100 to 200 km, creating a demanding balance between endurance, climbing and high-speed racing. Flat stages use wide paved roads and long straight sections, while hillier stages introduce sustained climbs of 5–8% and steeper ramps that can exceed 10%. Narrow mountain roads, technical descents and frequent changes in gradient require careful positioning and precise bike handling. Heat, humidity and strong sun can add significant environmental stress, particularly on the longer stages. Breakaways often form early, with the peloton controlling the advantage before increasing the pace toward important climbs or finishing circuits. The field can fragment in mountainous terrain before regrouping on descents and flatter roads. Finishes vary from fast bunch sprints on flatter stages to reduced-group battles, late attacks or solo moves in the hills.
