57th Trofeo Buffoni 2026 🇮🇹 (1.1) MJ – Forte dei Marmi – Montignoso : 135,4 km
Trofeo Buffoni is a UCI 1.1 junior one-day road race through the coastal plain and foothills of the Apuan Alps, covering 135.4 km between Forte dei Marmi and Montignoso. The route begins with four laps of the 15.1 km Versilia circuit, followed by six laps of an 11.6 km circuit featuring the climb toward Fortezza. The course combines flat paved roads with narrow rural lanes, repeated short climbs and fast descents, creating frequent changes of rhythm rather than one long mountain ascent. The Fortezza section contains the main selective rise, with steep ramps demanding short, explosive efforts and careful positioning before the climb. Tight bends and changing road widths add a technical element, while fatigue accumulates through the repeated circuits. Early racing can be fast on the flatter opening laps, with breakaways and counterattacks developing as riders test the field. The repeated climbs can split the peloton before faster sections allow regrouping. The final run to Villa Schiff rises gently toward the finish, favoring a reduced-group sprint, late attack or uphill acceleration.
