4th Tour of Huangshan 2026 🇨🇳 (2.1) ME – Stage 1 – Wenfeng Park – Huangshan District Government Square : 120 km
Tour of Huangshan is a UCI 2.1 multi-stage road race through the mountainous landscapes of Anhui, combining fast valley roads with repeated climbs, technical descents and rolling sections around the Huangshan region. The route typically features three stages with distances of roughly 100–140 km, creating a compact but varied stage-racing format. Climbs are generally short to medium in length, with steeper sections reaching around 8–10%, while the surrounding mountain roads can produce substantial accumulated elevation gain. Narrow roads, frequent bends and changes in gradient make positioning particularly important before climbs and on technical descents. The mountainous environment also introduces changing weather, humidity and road conditions, while exposed sections can bring additional wind. Racing can alternate between controlled bunch riding and aggressive breakaway attempts, with the peloton stretching as the major climbs arrive. Harder ascents can create small groups before faster sections allow riders to regroup. The race can finish with reduced-group sprints on flatter stages, while climbing stages favor late attacks, small groups or solo moves.
