City Mountainbike Eliminator Pro League – 1 – Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 🇪🇹
Mountain Bike Eliminator (XCE) Pro League is a UCI Pro Series classification that unfolds on a compact, high-intensity circuit no longer than 1 kilometer, where speed, skill, and strategy collide in a relentless battle for supremacy. The course is a tightly wound maze of technical obstacles, sharp turns, and abrupt elevation changes, designed to test riders’ ability to accelerate, brake, and maneuver with precision in a matter of seconds. The terrain is a mix of smooth singletrack, loose gravel, and root-laden paths, with short, punchy climbs that force riders to power up steep inclines and rapid descents that demand split-second decision-making to avoid crashes. The race begins with a mass start, the riders jostling for position as they surge toward the first bottleneck, where the narrowest sections of the course create inevitable clashes and split-second gaps. The format is elimination-based, with the last riders to cross the line in each heat disqualified, adding a layer of urgency to every pedal stroke. The dynamics are explosive, with riders attacking from the gun, their bikes lurching over obstacles as they fight to avoid being caught in traffic or forced into a mistake. The final laps see the strongest riders break clear, their speed and technical prowess separating them from the pack as they sprint for the line, the outcome often decided by a bike length or less. The race is a spectacle of raw power and agility, where every second counts and a single error can cost a rider their chance at victory.
