Flanders Tomorrow Tour 2026 🇧🇪 (2.2U) MU23 – Stage 1b – Eernegem – Ichtegem : 125,5 km
The Flanders Tomorrow Tour is a UCI 2.2 multi-stage road race for U23 riders across the rolling roads of Flanders, combining short climbs, narrow lanes and technical sections with fast paved stretches. The stages typically feature distances around 120–160 km, with repeated elevation changes rather than long sustained ascents. Short ramps of 5–10% are common, while cobbled sectors and exposed rural roads can add extra difficulty when conditions are wet or windy. Positioning is crucial before climbs, narrow passages and technical turns, where gaps can open quickly and riders must maintain momentum. The race often develops through early breakaways and repeated attacks, with the peloton stretching on exposed roads before regrouping on wider sections. On the finishing circuits, acceleration becomes frequent as riders fight for position ahead of the final climbs or cobbled sectors. Finishes can come from a reduced group, a late breakaway or a sprint after selective racing. The combination of short climbs, technical roads and changing wind creates a race centered on positioning, timing and sustained high-intensity efforts.
