Coppa Città Di San Daniele 2026 🇮🇹 (1.2) ME – San Daniele del Friuli – San Daniele del Friuli : 148,2 km
Coppa Città di San Daniele is a UCI 1.2 one-day road race for Elite and Under-23 riders through the rolling foothills of Friuli, combining repeated circuits with short climbs, narrow rural roads and fast descents. The course typically covers around 145–150 km and features roughly 2,000 metres of elevation gain, creating a demanding rhythm without prolonged mountain ascents. The main climbs can reach gradients above 10%, with the steepest sections requiring short, explosive efforts and careful positioning before the summit. Technical corners, changes in road width and wooded sections add further demands on bike handling, while exposed roads can make wind an additional factor. Racing often begins aggressively as riders attempt to establish a breakaway during the repeated opening circuits. Successive climbs gradually reduce the field, while descents and flatter sections allow groups to regroup. The final circuits increase the tactical pressure, with attacks and counterattacks becoming more frequent. The finish can come from a solo rider, small group or reduced sprint.
