6th Binche Chimay Binche pour Dames 2026 🇧🇪 (1.1) WE – Chimay – Binche : 125 km
Binche Chimay Binche pour Dames is a UCI 1.1 one-day women’s road race through the rolling countryside of southern Belgium, combining narrow rural roads, open farmland, short climbs and technical sections. The course typically covers around 120–130 km and features repeated changes of gradient rather than any sustained mountain ascent. Short climbs generally range between 4–8%, with steeper ramps occasionally reaching double digits and creating sharp accelerations. Narrow lanes, tight corners, roundabouts and frequent changes in road width make positioning important, while exposed sections can bring crosswinds and rapidly changing race conditions. The race can develop through early breakaway attempts before repeated climbs and accelerations begin to stretch the peloton. Groups may split on the rises and regroup on faster or descending sections, creating a constantly changing tactical situation. As the distance accumulates, attacks become increasingly important and the field can be reduced to a small group. The finish can produce a reduced-group sprint, a late attack or a solo move after the final selective sections.
Linda Riedmann (Lotto-Intermarché) scored victory at Binche-Chimay-Binche pour Dames, securing her first-ever victory in a race at .1 level or above.
The 23-year-old won the German Championships last year and this season took victory at .2 races, the Volta a Portugal Feminina and Muurclassic Geraardsbergen, but this is the biggest triumph of her five-year racing career.
Riedmann beat established sprinter Charlotte Kool (Fenix-Premier Tech) to the finish line in the uphill sprint, while Nicole Steigenga (AG Insurance-Soudal) rounded out the podium in third place.
