CX Nacht van Woerden is a UCI C2 cyclocross race held on a compact, floodlit circuit through the town-centre green spaces of Woerden in the Netherlands. The course typically measures around 3 km per lap and mixes grass strips, paved connectors, narrow banks, bridges and repeated changes of direction. Short rises and steep descents around the water and embankments interrupt momentum, while two barriers require quick dismounts and clean remounts. There are no sustained climbs; the challenge comes from repeated acceleration, technical line choice and maintaining traction through corners. At night, artificial lighting and changing weather can alter how riders judge grip and speed, while wet grass or mud makes the banks more slippery. The start is often fast as riders fight for position before the circuit narrows. The field can stretch through technical sections, then regroup on faster straights. Finishes favor a late attack or a sprint from a small group.
