3rd Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon 2026 🇭🇰 (1.1) ME – Hong Kong – Hong Kong : 99,2 km
Hong Kong Cyclothon is a UCI 1.1 one-day road race through the urban landscape of Hong Kong, combining wide city roads, elevated highways, bridges, tunnels and rolling sections. The predominantly paved course features limited sustained climbing, with gradual inclines and short rises creating repeated changes of rhythm rather than a traditional mountain test. Long, fast sections allow riders to build speed, while tunnel approaches, bridge crossings and changes in road direction demand careful positioning and controlled pacing. Exposed elevated roads can introduce crosswinds, while confined tunnel sections and narrow passages may restrict opportunities to move through the field. The race can begin at a high tempo as teams compete for position and early breakaways attempt to establish an advantage. Rolling sections and repeated accelerations can stretch the peloton, although flatter roads allow groups to regroup. As the finish approaches, tactical positioning becomes increasingly important. The finale can produce a reduced-group sprint, a late attack or a fast finish from the remaining peloton.
