GP OG Cycles – Souvenir François Vanassche 2026 🇧🇪 (1.14) MJ – Mouscron – Mouscron : 114 km
GP OG Cycles is a UCI 1.14 classification that unfolds across the undulating countryside of Wallonia, where the roads rise and fall like the breath of the land itself, their surfaces a mix of smooth asphalt and rougher, timeworn stretches that test both bike and rider. The terrain is a relentless succession of short, punchy climbs and technical descents, their gradients steep enough to split the peloton into fragments, forcing riders to dig deep with each acceleration. Between the ascents, the route weaves through narrow lanes and open farmland, where the wind cuts across the fields, turning the race into a battle of positioning as the peloton stretches and contracts with every gust. The roads are often slick with early-morning dampness or lined with loose gravel, adding an element of unpredictability to the descents, where riders must balance speed with caution. The race typically begins with a cautious rhythm, the peloton testing the legs and the wind, but as the kilometers pass, the attacks grow bolder, the climbs acting as kingmakers, thinning the group to a select few. The finish often arrives after a final, lung-searing ascent or a fast, technical descent, where a reduced bunch sprints for the line, or a lone rider who has timed their move to perfection holds off the chasing pack by a handful of seconds.
Yanis Molter (Trustup-CC Chevigny) won, this Sunday, the third edition of the Grand Prix OG Cycles-Souvenir by François Vanassche (1.14 IC), contested around Dottignies (Mouscron) in the Province of Hainaut. After 114 kilometers of race, the Luxembourger beat Edwin Boyle (Flanders U19 Academy) and Tibe Grijp (Acrog-Tormans).
Yanis Molter succeeds Matteo Vanden Wijngaert in the Interclub Juniors winners.
