Circuit des Plages Vendéennes 2026 🇫🇷 (NE) WE – Stage 1 – Saint Urbain – Challans Gois Communauté : 125 km
For nearly four decades, the Circuit des Plages Vendéennes has established itself as one of the major cycling events on the national calendar. Created in 1987, this emblematic competition gathers the elite of men’s and women’s cycling every year and is open to professional categories, offering a prime stage for both established talents and future champions. For the 2026 edition, the event will span six days of competition, bringing together between 150 and 170 riders ready to battle across demanding courses shaped by the landscapes of Vendée—ranging from the coastline and sea winds to the marshes.
The first stage of the 2026 Women’s Circuit des Plages Vendéennes will be contested around Saint-Urbain on a 125 km course passing through the roads of Saint-Gervais, Châteauneuf, and Sallertaine. On this fast and exposed route, the race promises to be nervous and selective, favoring attacks and echelons (bordures). Last year, Chloé Charpentier (Team Elles) took the victory. This inaugural round promises an intense first confrontation to launch the 2026 women’s edition
